Your everyday shopping, working for the causes you choose.
Pick up to five charities once. Shop at the local businesses on the network as you always do. Each business sets aside a community fund every month, and your share of it goes to your causes. You see exactly where it went.
across 6 local businesses this quarter
Zero friction, by design, for everyone involved.
Three steps for shoppers. Ten minutes for a business. Nothing to fill in for a charity. Pick your side of the network below.
Give without giving anything up.
You already shop at the bakery, the hardware store and the pharmacy. Tell us once which causes you care about, and every visit to a business on the network sends a share of its community fund their way. Nothing on your bill changes.
What you get
- Up to five causes, weighted however you like
- Phone number at the register, or an optional linked card
- A quarterly statement you can actually read and share
- Change causes any time; the next statement reflects it
- No cost, ever, and your purchase data stays private
Three steps, and the first one is the only one you'll notice
Pick your causes
Choose up to five charities and how to split between them. CharityAI suggests vetted local causes near you, or search any of 1.5 million IRS-listed nonprofits by name, cause or town.
Shop as you already do
At any business on the network, give your phone number at the register or let the business's loyalty program recognise you. Optionally link a card once and never think about it again.
See the impact
Each quarter you get a statement: how much your shopping raised, at which businesses, for which causes. One tap to share it, one tap to change your causes.
Where the money comes from
Not from you. Each business on the network sets aside a fixed community fund every month. Your share of that fund depends on how much of the business's enrolled spend was yours, and your share is split across your causes by the weights you chose. The business's prices are the same for everyone.
Loyalty your customers can feel good about.
Set a monthly community fund you are comfortable with. Your customers direct it to the causes they love, and they see your name on the statement every quarter. No developer, no new hardware, no change to checkout.
What you get
- Sign up in ten minutes with your POS or merchant ID
- A monthly fund you control; change or pause it any month
- Window decal, neighbourhood leaderboard and share cards
- Dashboard of enrolled customers, visits and giving
- Charity vetting, payments and receipts handled for you
Three decisions, then a monthly statement
Connect in ten minutes
Sign up from your phone with your Square, Clover, Toast, Shopify or Lightspeed account, or just your merchant ID. We match purchases through the loyalty details your customers already give you.
Set your community fund
Choose a monthly amount. That is the ceiling: more participating customers widens the split, it never raises the bill. Add a per-purchase percentage, round-ups or a weekend campaign if you like.
Watch it come back
Each month you get a statement and a receipt from the GiveBack Charitable Fund. Each quarter your customers get a statement with your name on it. Your decal and leaderboard spot do the rest.
How the Community Fund is shared out
At month end, your fund is split among your enrolled customers in proportion to what each spent with you, then each customer's share is split across their chosen causes. You never pay more than you planned. Your customers never pay anything.
- Predictable. The fund is the ceiling. More shoppers means a wider split, not a bigger bill.
- Fair. Customers who spend more direct more. Every dollar is accounted for and every statement adds up.
- Flexible. Switch to a percentage of each purchase, add round-ups at checkout, or run a time-boxed campaign for a cause you care about.
- Documented. The GiveBack Charitable Fund, a 501(c)(3), receives your contribution and issues the receipt. Refunds are netted automatically.
Each group's share is then split by each customer's own cause weights. Amounts are illustrative.
Simple plans. The fund always reaches charities in full.
Businesses pay a flat monthly plan and a platform fee that is billed as a separate line, never taken out of the donation. Shoppers and charities never pay.

Nothing to fill in to start receiving support.
If you are a 501(c)(3) listed with the IRS, shoppers can already choose you. Grants arrive every quarter from the GiveBack Charitable Fund with a statement of who supported you and where. Claim your page when you want to tell your story.
What you get
- Every IRS-listed 501(c)(3) is selectable from day one
- Paid quarterly by the GiveBack Charitable Fund, a 501(c)(3), by ACH
- A statement showing supporters and businesses by town
- Claim your page to add a photo, a story and updates
- CharityAI scores help donors find you with confidence
How support reaches you
You are already listed
CharityAI indexes every organization in the IRS file, about 1.5 million, and refreshes status monthly. No application, no terms to sign, no NPO number for shoppers to hunt for.
Shoppers choose you
Supporters pick you as one of up to five causes and set a weight. Every purchase they make at a business on the network sends part of that business's fund your way, automatically.
Grants arrive quarterly
The GiveBack Charitable Fund, DonationX.org's 501(c)(3), pays you by ACH, or by check until you add bank details, with a statement of supporter and business counts by town. The $25 minimum rolls forward.
Claim your page
Verify that you represent the organization and you can add a photo, a short story, impact updates and your preferred payment details. Claimed pages are suggested first to nearby shoppers, and you can share a link that lets supporters pick you in one tap. Money flows whether or not you ever claim it.
Vetted, not gatekept
CharityAI scores financial strength, reliability, effectiveness and impact from public filings. Scores help donors choose; they never stop a listed charity from being paid.
Supporters you can thank
Your statement shows how many households and businesses supported you, by town. Individual shoppers stay anonymous unless they choose to share their name with you.
Nothing deducted
Business funds reach you in full. Businesses pay the platform fee separately. The only cost against a grant is the Fund's published processing cost, shown on every statement.
Shop-to-give has been tried. We fixed what made it fade.
Earlier programs asked shoppers to use a special web address, carry a particular card, or support one organization only. Most faded quietly. Community GiveBack starts from the lessons.
| Typical shop-to-give program | Community GiveBack | |
|---|---|---|
| Causes per shopper | One organization | Up to five, weighted |
| Which charities | Only those that applied and were approved | Any IRS-listed charity, day one |
| Which businesses | One retailer or one online store | The whole neighbourhood, across any POS |
| Budget model | Open-ended percentage, or a pool nobody sees | A fixed fund each business controls |
| What the shopper sees | Usually nothing | A quarterly statement, per cause and per business |
| Checkout friction | Special URL, card or code | None. Phone number or loyalty program you already use |
The platform never holds the money, and we never see your card.
Funds held by a 501(c)(3)
Business funds go to the GiveBack Charitable Fund, DonationX.org's registered 501(c)(3) grant-making fund, which pays each charity. The platform itself never takes custody of a donation.
Charities verified monthly
IRS status and revocations are refreshed every month. CharityAI scores financial strength, reliability, effectiveness and impact for every organization.
No card numbers, ever
If you link a card, the card network gives us a token and a purchase total. We never receive the number, the items or anything about your other spending.
Every dollar traceable
Each month's allocation is locked and published to the business, the shopper and the charity. The three statements always add up to the same number.
Want to take part, or just hear more? Tell us who you are.
Community GiveBack is being built now. Shoppers, businesses, charities and community partners can register interest and we will keep you informed as the program takes shape in your area. No commitment, nothing to set up yet.
The things people ask first.
Does it cost me anything as a shopper?
No. Prices at participating businesses are the same for everyone. The community fund comes from the business's own budget. If you choose a round-up plan at a business that offers it, that is your choice and shows on your receipt.
Do I have to link a credit card?
No. At most businesses the register recognises you by the phone number or loyalty account you already use. Linking a card is optional and useful at businesses that have no loyalty program. If you do link one, we receive only a token and purchase totals from the card network, never the card number or items.
Can I pick any charity?
Any organization listed as a 501(c)(3) with the IRS, which is about 1.5 million. Charities do not need to apply or sign anything to be selectable. We refresh IRS status monthly and pause new picks for any organization whose status lapses.
How does a business know what it will spend?
The business sets a monthly community fund and that is the ceiling. The fund is shared among its enrolled shoppers in proportion to their spend, so more participation widens the split rather than raising the cost. The business can change the fund any month.
Who actually sends the money to charities?
The GiveBack Charitable Fund, DonationX.org's registered 501(c)(3), receives each business's fund and makes the grants, so the platform never holds donations. Charities are paid quarterly with a statement of supporters by town, and businesses receive a receipt for their contribution.
Is the contribution tax-deductible for the business?
Contributions go to the GiveBack Charitable Fund, a 501(c)(3), which issues an acknowledgement. Whether and how a business can deduct them depends on its situation, so we recommend asking an accountant. The platform fee is a normal business expense and is invoiced separately.
What does Community GiveBack do with my data?
We keep your cause choices, your contact details and purchase totals at participating businesses, which we need to calculate your share. We do not sell data, we do not see items you buy, and businesses see only aggregate giving, never other shoppers' causes.
